Information architecture (IA)
Organising information into an intuitive structure that makes it easy for users to find what they want. IA typically involves creating navigational schemes, site architecture, content categories, user journeys and defining processes.
Information design
Focused on effectively communicating information to your users. This means considering the type of content your users want and need as well as the best ways to deliver the content. We investigate the needs of your users so that we can provide them with the right content in the right format. Based on bespoke user research we will determine the most effective formats to deliver content (i.e. text, videos, images, audio, animation, etc.). It will also consider how to accommodate accessibility and search engine optimisation.
Interaction design
Defining the behaviour of the system or website, in accordance with user actions. Users need to interact with the website in certain ways depending on what they want to achieve. Experience Architects consider how the behaviour of the system or website will influence user behaviours. Good interaction design supports and accommodates a wide range of user behaviours.
Visual design
Traditionally visual design was all about look and feel. But in the digital world, good visual design also has to support the information hierarchy created by the Experience Architects. Our visual designs are based on in-depth business and user research, which enables us to create a look and feel that supports the user experience.
